North Alabama under a heat advisory until Tuesday evening

On Tuesday at 10:14 a.m. a heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 7 p.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.

The weather service says, “Heat index values up to 109 degrees.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” explains the weather service.
