Auburn beats out LSU and Tennessee for 2025 3-star offensive lineman Jacobe Ward

Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers have won their second commitment in three days as Jacobe Ward, a 3-star interior offensive lineman, announced his commitment to the Tigers during an Instagram Live video on Saturday.

Ward joins 3-star tight end Hollis Davidson III as Auburn’s recent commitments.

Ward narrowed his recruitment down to three finalists on June 5, naming Auburn, LSU and Tennessee as his Top 3. Ward paid all three of those programs visits since announcing his shortlist, with Auburn being his first stop on June 7.

Prior to shortening his list, Ward had hauled in 30 offers, including from the likes of Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, Miami, Missouri, Ohio State,

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 335 pounds, 247Sports ranks Ward as the No. 81 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2025 and the 110th-ranked prospect in the state of Georgia.

In 2022, Ward started at right tackle for Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia and helped the program to a Georgia AAAA state title. According to 247Sports, Ward also competes in track and field throwing events.

With the commitment of Ward, Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class grows to 16 commitments with five offensive linemen. Ward, 4-star Tavaris Dice, 3-star Broderick Shull, 3-star Spencer Dowland and 3-star Tai Buster make up the Tigers’ current crop of committed offensive linemen.
