Single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County kills Duncanville man

A Duncanville man was killed Friday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Nathaniel T. West, 61, died when a 2009 Toyota Matrix he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. The crash happened about 7 p.m. on Slayton Road six miles east of Tuscaloosa near Double Gate Estate, the ALEA said in a news release Saturday.

West was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the incident.
