Alabama prison security guard arrested on ethics charge

A St. Clair Correctional Facility guard was taken into custody Monday on an ethics charge.

Jasmine Miller was a correctional security guard at the facility.

The 34-year-old Ashville woman is charged with use of office for personal gain. Alabama Department of Corrections officials did not elaborate on the accusations against Miller.

Mill was booked into the county jail at 11:41 a.m. Monday and released at 1:10 p.m. after posting $2,500 bond.

ADOC officials said she immediately resigned her position.
