The Alabama Contemporary Art Center in Mobile recently announced a startling vision for its future over the next few years: While its home at 301 Conti Street is being remodeled, it’ll spend several years roaming the state, presenting major exhibitions in partnership with other institutions.

ACAC followed that up with a public forum at which Executive Director elizabet elliott and other leaders shared more about what’s to come. While the session didn’t answer every conceivable question, it did make clear that ACAC’s ambitious efforts could have major impacts across the state and in Mobile.
