A new industrial park coming to the Gardendale/Morris area is designed to disturb nearby residents as little as possible and may be a preferable usage to the property’s other zoning options, according to Jefferson County Economic Development Advisor Jefferson Traywick.

“It’s going to take us years to fully develop the park out, and we’re doing it in stages,” he said. “In terms of disruption, I expect that to be minimal. The park entrance is less than 1,000 feet from the interstate itself. So, anything kind of coming in and out of there is really on the main road for a very short period of time.”
