Authorities ID possible vehicle in fatal Mobile County hit-and-run wreck

State authorities on Tuesday identified the type of vehicle they believe may have been involved in the hit-and-run wreck on Dauphin Island Parkway that left a 34-year-old dead earlier this month.

The vehicle involved in the death of 34-year-old Theodore resident Christine D. Arwood is believed to be a 2016-2023 Mercedes GLC, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Joshua Thompson.

Arwood died June 10 when the bicycle she was riding was struck on the parkway by a vehicle near the 17-mile marker, about 12 miles north of Dauphin Island.

The vehicle involved in the wreck left the scene.

Authorities have not identified the driver responsible for hitting Arwood.

Anyone with information on the fatal wreck was asked to call ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division at 251-660-2300.
