26-year-old man killed in Montgomery shooting
An investigation is underway after a man was shot to death in Montgomery Saturday night.
Police on Sunday identified the victim as Jimontae Rivers. He was 26 and lived in Montgomery.
The shooting happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Burgwyn Road.
Lt. David Wise said Rivers was pronounced dead on the scene.
No additional information has been released.
The deadly shooting was in addition to a separate shooting that left 13 people injured, including nine who sustained gunshot wounds.
Rivers is the city’s 35th homicide this year.
