A two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Huntsville resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.

According to Huntsville police, the incident happened at about 6:48 p.m. on University Drive near Meadow Drive.

The motorcycle operator was traveling east on University Drive, and a vehicle traveling west attempted to turn south onto Meadow Drive.

Police said the driver of the vehicle turned in front of the motorcyclist, and the collision occurred.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.
