Bengals to play without another offensive lineman
The Cincinnati Bengals will be without left offensive tackle Jonah Williams in Sunday’s AFC playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.
The former Alabama All-American sustained a dislocated kneecap in the Bengals’ 24-17 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in a Super Wild-Card Weekend game on Sunday night.

Williams suffered a similar injury in the first half of a 19-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 9, but he returned to the field in the second half.
The Bengals were holding out hope that Williams could stage another quick comeback. But Cincinnati’s injury report on Friday listed Williams as out against Buffalo.
Williams became the third starting offensive lineman to go down in the Bengals’ past four games. Right tackle La’el Collins sustained a knee injury on Dec. 24, and right guard Alex Cappa suffered an ankle injury on Jan. 8.
Collins won’t play again this season, and Cappa won’t be back for Sunday’s game.
Against Baltimore, the Bengals started Max Scharping at right guard and Hakeem Adeniji at right tackle. Jackson Carman finished the game at left tackle in place of Williams. Carman started six games at right guard last season, but in 2022 he had played four offensive snaps – all in the regular-season finale – before Sunday’s game.
In his third season as a starter, Williams served as Cincinnati’s left offensive tackle for all but six offensive snaps during the 2022 regular season.
The Bengals and the Bills square off at 2 p.m. CST Sunday at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, in the AFC Divisional Playoffs. CBS will televise the game.
