Homebuilders lead way in Huntsville area new construction

When you consider how the Huntsville metro is growing, more than anything this month, it’s in construction of new homes.

Since June 11, contractors who build houses have been in the lead. Of the $48 million in new construction during that time in Madison, Limestone and Morgan Counties, two homebuilders in particular accounted for more than $11 million of the total.

Winter Homes led the way with 21 permits totaling more than $7 million, according to Southern Exposure Information. Davidson Homes, which so far in 2024 consistently ranks in the top two of homebuilders in the area, received 18 permits totaling $4.2 million.
