The Olympic Trials are intense, as more than 700 swimmers compete for only 52 available spots on the Olympic team. Since there have been renowned competitors for the US every year, the competition is stiff. There will be six races for fans to enjoy tonight: Women’s 200-meter butterfly final, men’s 200-meter backstroke final, men’s 50-meter freestyle semifinal, women’s 200-meter breaststroke final, women’s 200-meter backstroke semifinal, and men’s 200-meter individual medley semifinal.

All six of these races should be competitive and half of them will earn athletes a spot on the US Olympic roster.
