An Albertville man has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal February 28 two-vehicle crash.

Armando Juan Sebastian, 24, is being held in the Marshall County Jail without bond.

Sebastian was involved in the crash that happened on Baltimore Avenue, between the intersections of Textile Avenue and Saratoga Street.

Phillip McBay, 71, of Boaz, was driving another vehicle when he collided with Sebastian’s vehicle. He was taken to Marshall Medical Center South, where he later died of his injuries.

Jorge Lopez, a passenger in Sebastian’s vehicle, was also injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital.

Officers investigating the crash determined that Sebastian was under the influence, according to Albertville police. Sebastian was originally charged with first degree assault related to driving under the influence.
