Country music singer’s Tennessee home catches fire on Father’s Day
The garage of Carrie Underwood’s rural home caught fire Sunday night.
Dinah Wade, a spokesperson with Williamson County Fire and Rescue, told The Tennessean a 10,000 gallon water tank at the home was used by fire crews to extinguish the blaze.
According to the report, an off-road UTV caught fire and spread to the garage.
Wade told The Tennessean on Monday that all four people and three pets inside the home were able to escape without injuries.
“Crews from all eight of our stations responded,” officials said in a statement posted to “X,” the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday. “Fairview Fire provided a tanker and crew as well. Upon arrival, 1401 found flames coming from the garage. Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly to prevent spread into the house.”
Spokesman Brad Cafarelli, per the report, said there was no fire damage to the residence, but smoke could be smelled.
