Country music star gets restraining order against estranged wife

Billy Ray Cyrus filed an emergency temporary restraining order from his estranged wife, Firerose.

The move comes weeks after Cyrus, 62, had filed for divorce from his 37-year-old wife, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges.

Cyrus, according to PEOPLE, filed the motion in a Tennessee court Thursday.

The report indicates Cyrus claimed Firerose ran up $96,986 in “unauthorized charges on his business account.” PEOPLE reports Cyrus said $70,665 went to her lawyers. Cyrus claimed that the charges made him concerned that she may make other “fraudulent, unauthorized charges to my business and personal credit cards and accounts.”

Cyrus filed for divorce after seven months for “irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct.”

“Throughout the divorce proceedings, the parties are to live as per the status quo during the marriage,” her lawyers said, per PEOPLE. “Wife was simply living as she has since October 10, 2023, and Husband has no right to cut her off.”
