LeFlore offensive tackle Antonio Gibbs commits to South Alabama

South Alabama on Sunday picked up a Class of 2025 football verbal commitment from Antonio Gibbs, an offensive tackle from Mobile’s LeFlore High School.

Gibbs — who also plays basketball for the Rattlers — attended the Jaguars’ camp last week. He also had an offer from North Alabama.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound Gibbs is South Alabama’s third 2025 commitment and first from inside the state. Defensive back Jeremiah Thomas and linebacker Byron Jackson — teammates at Gadsden County High School in Havana, Fla. — are also Jaguars pledges for the upcoming class.

The early signing period for the Class of 2025 begins in December.
