A man was killed after he was ejected from his vehicle during a two-vehicle wreck Thursday morning in Mobile County, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to the accident at Moffett Road and Ching Dairy Road in Semmes around 9:55 a.m., according to the city’s police department.

When officers arrived, they found 59-year-old Roderick Pennell dead in the roadway.

The preliminary investigation showed Pennell was ejected from his vehicle due to the crash.

Police closed one eastbound and one westbound lane of Moffett Road due to the ongoing investigation.
