A morning traffic crash in Cullman left one man dead.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Wayne K. Ferguson. He was 44 and lived in Dora.

The wreck happened at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday on Alabama 69, about four miles northeast of Cullman.

Senior Trooper Cody Farrar said Ferguson was driving a Chevrolet S10 that collided head on with a GMC Sierra driven by Fernando Garcia Hernandez, 38, of Albertville.

Ferguson was pronounced dead on the scene.

Two passengers from the Sierra – 21-year-old Johnathan Gallegos-Torres and a 17-year-old were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

Troopers are investigating.
