Alabama congressional delegation to feds: Help us with $3.5 billion I-10 project

Alabama’s entire congressional delegation signed onto a June 6 letter requesting federal assistance with the $3.5 billion Interstate 10 Mobile River and Bridge project, the most expensive road project in Alabama state history.

The letter, sent to U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, asks that the U.S. Department of Transportation consider Alabama’s application for a federal Mega grant, created by the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) signed into law in 2021.
