Elizabeth Webb doesn’t know an exact reason as to why the Baldwin County Commission dissolved a library cooperative that has moved thousands of books to senior centers and veterans’ homes for over a generation.

But that’s what happened last week, when the commission voted to dissolve the library board about two weeks after the board fired Webb out of what appeared to be a concern that the entire Baldwin County Library Cooperative was at risk of losing its funding during upcoming budgeting.
