Eagles QB Jalen Hurts wins NFL’s retail championship

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts finished No. 1 on the NFL Players Association’s annual Top 50 Player Sales List released on Monday.

The list ranks the leading retail performers based on sales of officially licensed NFL player products from March 1, 2023, to Feb. 29, 2024.

The NFLPA list is the only verified ranking of all officially licensed NFL player products sold by more than 85 NFLPA licensees. Products range from jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies and socks to bobbleheads, figurines, wall decals and credit cards.

Hurts rose from No. 5 on last year’s Top 50 to take the top spot.

This year’s top five featured Eagles center Jason Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey behind Hurts.

Last year’s top five included Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, Mahomes, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow ahead of Hurts.

Hurts was among seven former Alabama players on the Top 50 released on Monday, along with former West Alabama standout Tyreek Hill, who placed at No. 14 as a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins.

The other former Crimson Tide standouts in the Top 50 included:

· No. 15: Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa

· No. 17: Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith

· No. 37: Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle

· No. 38: Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry (who signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent in March).

· No. 43: Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young

· No. 50: New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones (who was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in March)
