Birmingham police seek help identifying gas station robbery suspect who hit victim with gun
Birmingham police on Thursday released photos of a suspect who they say hit someone with a gun during a robbery Friday in the northeast section of the city and urged anyone who can identify him to step forward.
East Precinct officers were dispatched to a robbery call Friday at the Chevron gas station at 16 64th St. North, where they learned an adult victim was approached by an adult male suspect, said Officer Truman Fitzgerald.
The suspect demanded money from the victim before assaulting the victim, police said.
The suspect then retrieved a handgun and struck the victim with the weapon before fleeing the scene.
The victim suffered unspecified injuries from the attack. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service arrived on scene to aid the victim.
