A Troy man was killed in an ATV crash in Crenshaw County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Elvis W. Bowles. He was 41.

The wreck happened at 4:10 p.m. Friday on Athens Church Road near Golden Road, about four miles east of Luverne.

ALEA Sgt. Jeremy Burkett said Bowles was driving a CFORCE 800XC ATV that left the road and hit an embankment. Bowles was thrown from the ATV and pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
