Phoenix holds a 3-3 record to start this season, and they are coming off a tough 70-47 loss to the Connecticut Sun last night. None of the Phoenix players were able to score double digit points in the loss, which led to the abysmal point total. The team’s 47 point performance is the fewest points scored by the Mercury in over a decade.

Phoenix’s scoring leaders Kahleah Copper and Diana Taurasi had their worst games of the season last night, as they combined for just 13 points and shot 4-25 from the field. Additionally, they combined to shoot 0-12 from three point range. So, Copper and Taurasi will try to improve their shooting percentages against the Liberty tonight. Although, New York is one of the best defenses in the WNBA this year.
