4-year-old in vehicle wounded by Birmingham gunfire; adult possibly injured by shattered glass
An investigation is underway into Birmingham gunfire that wounded a child and an adult.
Few details are available, but police said the incident involved shots fired into an occupied vehicle Tuesday night.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald said a 4-year-old was shot, but the seriousness of the injury has not yet been disclosed.
It wasn’t immediately confirmed where the shooting took place.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service transported the victim from Princeton Baptist Medical to Children’s of Alabama at 6:53 p.m.
And adult was also injured, possibly by glass breakage in the vehicle.
