Who are the top rising junior recruits in Alabama?

Jackson High defensive back Jamarrion Gordon, who committed to Alabama over the weekend, is one of 11 in-state players ranked in On3′s newly released top 300 players in the nation for the Class of 2026.

Gordon comes in at No. 9 in the state and No. 205 in the nation.

The state’s top junior, according to On3, is St. Paul’s EDGE Anthony Jones. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Jones finished his sophomore season with 87 solo tackles, 22 assists, 8 tackles for a loss and 8 sacks for coach Ham Barnett’s Saints. He also scored 7 TDs as a Wildcat QB.

His offers include SEC powers Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Georgia and a host of other national contenders.

The other top players in Alabama who made the top 300 are Mae Jemison EDGE Hezekiah Harris (No. 16 nationally), Gadsden City DB Zyan Gibson (No. 44), Cottage Hill LB Shadarius Toodle (No. 86), Wadley LB Jaquez Wilkes (No. 114), Prattville DL Vodney Cleveland (No. 124), Booker T. Washington WR Marquez Daniel (No. 136), Gulf Shores LB JaMichael Garrett (No. 152), Gordon (No. 205), Saraland RB DeShawn Spencer (No. 208) and Benjamin Russell WR Cederian Morgan (No. 252).

Gordon is the only member of the top 11 committed at this point. Garrett is scheduled to commit on June 19. The nation’s top overall junior recruit in the nation according to On3 is DL Jahkeem Stewart of St. Augustine, La. He is uncommitted.

Ohio State WR commit Chris Henry Jr. of Mater Dei (Calif.) is listed at No. 2.
