Woman dies days after single-vehicle wreck in Montgomery

A woman died Friday, three days after she was involved in a single-vehicle wreck in Montgomery, police said Monday.

Police and fire medics responded to Bell Road near Thach Road around 4:53 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a single-vehicle traffic collision, said Maj. Saba Coleman.

Authorities found a 2003 Acura Type S and 62-year-old Montgomery resident Melody Westbrook at the scene of the wreck, said Coleman.

Westbrook was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries following the crash.

She died Friday, said Coleman.

The investigation into the wreck was ongoing as of Monday. Further information was unavailable.
