Gov. Ivey talks in Huntsville about I-565, efforts to unionize auto plants
As union officials revealed plans to target at least one North Alabama auto plant, Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey visited Huntsville to restate her opposition to ongoing unionization efforts.
Ivey, during her speech to Huntsville-Madison County Chamber members at the Von Braun Center, was mostly focused on United Auto Workers’ efforts to unionize the Mercedes plant in Vance in Tuscaloosa – and others around the state.
