Birmingham Water Works to distribute water to affected customers
Through May 13, Birmingham Water Works will be distributing water to those affected by Friday’s Highway 78 water main break in Pratt City, according to a release.
“This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to provide relief to the residents impacted by the temporary disruption of water service and the current boil water alert,” the release reads. “As crews work diligently to restore water service fully, we are committed to ensuring that all affected individuals have access to safe drinking water.”

● May 12th 8:00 AM-7:00 PM
● May 13th 8:00 AM-7:00 PM
Locations:
● Walmart, 2473 Hackworth Road, Adamsville, AL
● West Jefferson Baptist Church, located at 4901 Freewill Road Quinton, AL
● Fire Station #18, 200 Dugan Ave. Birmingham, AL (May 12th and 13th only)
Anyone within the impacted service area in Northwest Jefferson County is eligible to come pick up water with proof of residence, according to the release.
The City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office, the City of Fultondale Fire Department, the City of Birmingham Fire Department, and Walmart have all partnered with BWW to facilitate the distribution, the release said.
