Police in Mobile are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound early Tuesday.

Officers responded to a residence on Darwood Drive just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after a report of a shooting. Arriving at the scene, they located a vehicle resting against the residence, with the body nearby in the front yard.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

No other details were released “to protect the integrity of the investigation,” according to Mobile police.
