The AHSAA state semifinals feature several key rivalry matchups including Auburn at Central-Phenix City and James Clemens at Bob Jones in Class 7A.

Also, the last two 6A state champs — Hartselle and Oxford — square off for the right to go to the state finals. Hartselle, the 2022 champ, finished the regular season No. 1 in the AHSAA poll. Oxford, the reigning champ, was No. 2.

This week’s statewide winners advance to the finals next week at Oxford/Jacksonville State. Those open on Monday for Class 3A and 5A teams.
