A missing North Carolina teen was found at an Alabama motel with a 33-year-old Nevada man.

Richard Michael Maybach is being held in the Calhoun Jail on a fugitive from justice warrant.

Maybach is charged in Cabarrus County, N.C., with abduction of children, according to Alabama court documents.

The 16-year-old girl was last seen Wednesday, May 1, leaving Hickory Ridge High School in Cabarrus County, N.C.

Oxford police Chief Bill Partridge said the pair was found about 11 a.m. Friday at the Roadway Inn motel.

The teen has been returned to her family.

Maybach is awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
