Fans can also get some NHL playoff gear for their favorite team, which Will Ferrell showcased in recent weeks.
The Boston Bruins almost choked a 3-1 series lead in the first round against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but they survived by winning 2-1 in game 7. Interestingly, they lost game 5 and game 6 by that same scoreline. However, they were able to outlast the Maple Leafs in game 7 and earn a spot against the first seeded Panthers in the second round. The Bruins have not made it past the second round since 2019, but they are carrying a lot of momentum with their clutch win over the Maple Leafs. Additionally, the Bruins have a strong enough team to upset the higher seeded Panthers in this series. In order to pull off the upset, Bruins captain Brad Marchand will need to perform better than he did in the final three games of the first round. Marchand did not record a goal or an assist since game 4 of their first round series, which led to offensive struggles for the Bruins.
The Florida Panthers handled their first round series with ease, defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning in five games. During all five games of that series, the Panthers scored at least three goals. So, they are coming into tonight’s game with a lot of confidence in their offensive abilities. Carter Verhaeghe leads the team with five goals this postseason, but the Panthers have three other players that scored multiple goals during their first round series. With numerous offensive weapons at their disposal, the Panthers are looking to light up the scoreboard against the Bruins at home tonight.
