The Alabama High School Athletic Association soccer state championship final four gets underway on Wednesday at Huntsville’s John Hunt Soccer Complex with five defending champions in the field – three in the boys’ bracket.

Class 1A/3A boys’ defending champ Tanner will meet Westminster-Oak Mountain on Wednesday at 11 a.m., 4A boys’ champ Bayside Academy plays Oneonta at 3 p.m. Wednesday and 6A champ Fort Payne plays on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Class 4A defending girls’ champion and top-ranked Westminster Christian will meet Westbrook Christian at 1 p.m. Wednesday and 5A champ and No. 1 Springville will meet Guntersville at 5 p.m.

Championship games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. with the Class 5A boys meeting on Field 1 and the 4A boys playing at Field 2. At 11:30 a.m., the 5A girls will play on Field 1 and the 1A/3A boys play on Field 2. The final title matches set for Friday are the 4A girls at 2 p.m. on Field 1 and the 1A/3A girls playing at 2 on Field 2.

Saturday’s championship games begin at 9 a.m. with the 6A boys playing at Field 1. The 7A girls will play at 9 a.m. on Field 2. The 6A girls play at 11:30 a.m. on Field 1 with the 7A boys playing at 11:30 on Field 2.
