Miss USA Noelia Voigt has resigned from her title, according to a Monday morning Instagram post from the former Miss Utah and University of Alabama student.

“I realize this may come as a large shock to many. Never compromise your physical and mental well-being. Our health is our wealth. A million thank you’s to all of you for your constant and unwavering support. Time to write the next chapter. I hope you’ll stick around to see what’s next,” Voigt wrote as a comment next to a larger statement on Instagram.

In its own statement, the Miss USA Organization thanked Voight for her service and wished her “the best in this next chapter.”

“We respect and support Noelia’s decision to step down from her duties. The well-being of our titleholders is a top priority, and we understand her need to prioritize herself at this time. We are currently reviewing plans for the transition of responsibilities to a successor, and we will soon announce the crowning of the new Miss USA,” the statement read.

Voigt was crowned in September 2023. She formerly attended the University of Alabama and Jefferson State Community College and the Aveda Institute Birmingham as well as working as an interior design consultant for RH Birmingham. Before becoming Miss Utah USA, Voigt competed for Miss Alabama USA and was first-runner up for the pageant in 2022 and 2023.

The next Miss USA pageant is planned for Aug. 4.
