Jefferson County’s housing market continued to favor sellers going into May, but a substantial increase in home inventory could give buyers the upper hand in the coming months.

Last month, housing inventory in Jefferson County nearly doubled, increasing by 92.5% (894 homes), according to mortgage site Rocket Homes. But continued increases in home prices and shorter selling times kept the market in sellers’ hands.
