The Jefferson County Commission, in partnership with hunger solution company Goodr and the Daniel Payne Legacy Village Foundation, recently unveiled a new low-cost grocery store.

The new store, part of a chain called Goodr, opened in Birmingham’s Daniel Payne Plaza. County officials said it will help combat food insecurity in the community.
