Selma man dies in single-vehicle car crash

A Selma man died Saturday evening after his car left the road in rural Perry County and struck a ditch, according to a news release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

No other cars were involved in the accident. The crash killed 46-year-old Bernard A. Lee of Selma, the release said. He was driving a 2002 Chevrolet C1500 and was not wearing a seatbelt when his vehicle left the road.

The crash happened at 8:20 p.m. on Alabama 14 near the 98 mile marker, about 20 miles east of Marion. State troopers are investigating the accident.
