Mississippi man killed in Alabama crash

A Mississippi man died in a crash with a tractor-trailer in Alabama on Friday night, state troopers said.

Ronald J. McKinney died at the scene on Interstate 20 in Lincoln, a small town in Talladega County, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

McKinney, 54, was from Booneville, Mississippi. He was not wearing a seat belt, said Senior Trooper Vu Quang in the release.

McKinney was driving a Chevrolet Silverado that struck a Freightliner tractor-trailer just after 11 p.m., troopers said.

Troopers are investigating.
