Alabama man gets 33 months in prison for threats to ex-boss
A federal judge has sentenced a Mobile man to 33 months in federal prison for sending threatening text messages to his former boss after being fired from a construction job in Mississippi.
Cloepha Franks sent the messages from Alabama to the victim in Mississippi, the court found. The victim and other witnesses testified about the fear Franks’ messages caused.
The federal indictment against Franks showed more than a dozen texts “with each text containing clear, sometimes chilling threats against the former employer.”
Among those threats were “I know where you go every morning you never know when I going to pull up on you…” and “You will die soon hopefully your will ready I will let my actions speak louder than words,” according to court records.
