Mobile City Councilmember William Carroll, a contractor by trade, will soon move a historic home from the Lower Dauphin Street Historic District and expand and renovate it.

“When I’m talking about historic preservation, I’m not just talking about in protected areas,” Carroll says. “This isn’t just about the protected areas we have; this is about the true stock of historic properties that we have in this city that deserve the opportunity to be preserved and to be restored.”
