A dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 4:55 a.m. in effect until 9 a.m. for Dallas, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Russell, Pike and Barbour counties.

The weather service says, “Visibility one quarter to one half mile in dense fog.”

“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” adds the weather service. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”
