3 north Alabama men charged with soliciting sex from children
Morgan County authorities arrested three men after an operation focusing on child sex trafficking last Friday.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, with its drug enforcement unit, Morgan County District Attorney’s Office, U.S. Army Cyber Special Agents and the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office participated in the operation, with stems from an ongoing partnership with Covenant Rescue Group.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators arrested Drayton Shawn Tolliver, 37, of Decatur; Corey DeWayne Wynn Sr., 49, of Decatur, and Jeremy Scott Peek, 31, of Danville.
All three were charged with electronic solicitation of a child, and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act. Bond was set at $250,000.
Court documents reveal how two of the men were arrested. The operation was conducted at a Decatur hotel. Peek, according to authorities, arrived after text messages and phone calls, believing he would meet a 15-year-old for sex in exchange for $150. Wynn arrived after text messages and phone calls with $50 in exchange for sex from what he believed was a 15-year-old.
More charges could follow, the sheriff’s office said.
