A new team has joined The Huntsville Times Baseball Power 5 this week as the state playoffs move into the quarterfinal round. All five teams have advanced to the quarterfinals – the second round for Class 7A teams and third for the others.

All five teams have won at least 20 games and only one has lost more than 10 – James Clemens at 29-11, with only two of those coming to teams ranked outside the Top 10.
