Graduation announcement etiquette
According to yearbook and class ring maker Herff Jones, graduation announcements should be sent to friends and family early enough to arrive two weeks before the graduation date. Two envelopes typically come with each announcement. The larger, outer envelope should be addressed with a blue or black pen and include a complete address using as few abbreviations as possible. The smaller, inner envelope protects the announcement and is addressed only with the names of the recipients as if you were speaking to them, such as Grandma, Uncle Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. Children should be listed by name on this inner envelope.
Place the announcement in the smaller envelope and the smaller envelope inside the larger one and send via first class mail.
Graduation announcement options
