Suspect sought in Dothan shooting that left man critically wounded
An investigation is underway after a man was shot and critically injured in Dothan.
The shooting happened shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday at an apartment complex in the 2200 block Westgate Parkway.
Lt. Scott Owens said police arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. They applied a “chest seal” to the victim to stabilize his injuries until paramedics arrived.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, Owens said Friday.
Dothan police and forensic investigators processed the scene.
Owens said the victim was unable to give many details of the crime.
The search for a suspect continues.
