An investigation is underway after two people were stabbed in Birmingham.

The incident happened about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Brussels Circle.

One of the victims was seriously wounded, with injuries believed to be life-threatening. The second victim sustained a non-life-threatening wound.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald said the incident is believed to be domestic in nature.

One person was taken into custody.
