When dining out, sometimes a meal that feels like home can save your soul, other times food more of a vacation’s what you need. Good sushi’s the latter.

Decades into this Japanese cuisine’s popularization in America, these accessibly exotic eats still aren’t stale. Since it’s served cold though, for me, sushi doesn’t have quite the same allure in winter. Spring and summer though, sushi’s as refreshing as it is delicious. A star in the heat.
