Where NFL mock drafts predict Alabama’s Terrion Arnold will be picked

Terrion Arnold took a star turn in 2023 for Alabama football, and opted to enter the NFL Draft. The cornerback, one of the top players and personalities on the Crimson Tide’s 2023 College Football Playoff team last season, will be attending the draft in Detroit.

Before A-Day on Saturday in Tuscaloosa, he offered a preview of what his draft-day suit will look like, noting that it will be a salmon-colored suit and included a nod to the 2023 Tide’s LANK catchphrase.

Arnold is a popular first-round prediction in mock drafts. Here’s where the experts are projecting he’lll go.

Dane Brugler, The Athletic– No. 13, Las Vegas Raiders

Brugler’s latest seven-round mock was extremely high on Arnold. He has the corner heading to Los Vegas, joining the Raiders at No. 13.

Vegas finished 8-9 last season, running second in the AFC West. The spot would be a challenging spot for any defensive player, who will have to face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs twice a season for the foreseeable future.

Mel Kiper Jr., ESPN– No. 15, Indianapolis Colts

The original draft expert has Arnold off to the AFC South. Kiper predicted Arnold will be taken at No. 15, by the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts finished third in the division last season, with a 9-8 record.

Field Yates, ESPN– No. 17, Jacksonville Jaguars

Kiper’s counterpart at the Worldwide Leader, Field Yates, kept Arnold in the same division for his latest mock. However, he projected Arnold will slip down two picks, to Jacksonville at No. 17.

The Jaguars finished one spot ahead of the Colts in the AFC South standings last year, but took the second-place spot in the division.

Matt Miller, ESPN– No. 18, Cincinnati Bengals

Also at ESPN, Miller sent Arnold over to the Bengals. Cincinnati went 9-8 last season, playing in an extremely tough NFC North division.

The Bengals could prove to be an excellent spot going forward. The team has a quarterback in Joe Burrow and is looking to put pieces around him to return to the Super Bowl.

Josh Edwards, CBS Sports– No. 23, Los Angeles Chargers

Edwards sends Arnold out to Los Angeles. Interestingly, his mock draft also includes a projection for Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham going to the Chargers at pick No. 11.

The team also has the misfortune of playing in the same division as the Chiefs, but does have a top young quarterback in Justin Herbert.

Connor Rogers, NBC Sports– No. 25, Green Bay Packers

Rogers noted Arnold’s tackling ability and athleticism in his scouting report. He has Arnold off the board late in the first round, to the Packers.

Green Bay started last season slow, but made the playoffs and beat the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round before falling to the 49ers .

Will Brinson, CBS Sports– No. 26, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another projection for Arnold in the late first round. Brinson dropped him one spot below Rogers’ prediction, and has him going one position ahead of his fellow Alabama corner, Kool-Aid McKinstry.

Going to Tampa Bay would put the Tallahassee native back in his home state. The Bucs finished 9-8 last season.
