Huntsville police investigators are attempting to find the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash early Monday morning.

The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Memorial Parkway, just north of Mastin Lake Road, according to police.

Marquez Williams was attempting to cross Memorial Parkway on foot, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck.

He later died at Huntsville Hospital.

Police, in a statement, said “investigators are actively utilizing all resources to locate the person who left the scene.”
